Fact Check: Zagreb Pride Reveller Was NOT Naked And Did NOT Cause Harm To Children Underwear On

Did a trans woman wearing a dress made of condoms attend Zagreb Pride naked and harm children? No, that's not true: the person was wearing underwear, and Croatia's children's ombudsperson says children "were not directly threatened."

The claim appeared in a video (archived here) published on TikTok on 06/14/2023 under the title, translated from the Croatian language by Lead Stories staff, "A naked man in a condom dress interacting with children?! And politicians are watching from the sidelines and regret it". It opened:

Shamelessness or parade of pride? The bottom of the bottom and the gender attack of Soros and Schwab Davos and other psychopaths from the shadows and from secret societies financed by unnecessary parades of a morbid, according to many demonism, similar to modern Sodom and Gomorrah and tyranny in the days of Noah - similar and inclined ideologies aimed at minor children. The fact of the breakdown and the cry of a moral, mental and even hygienic [garbage in Zagreb] decadence in Zagreb, June, 2023. Gentlemen, homosexuals and lesbians, whatever hour of the day or night you feel, have sex freely and no one will have same-sex sex with you he does not defend other variants either. Have sex 24 hours a day with full steam, but do not violate the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Croatia and no one will touch you, "hit all the holes in the body between you if you want". But don't touch our pre-school kindergarten and school minors either with your education or pedophilia with sex, nor forcibly educate them with your moral and psychological pathology for many and the majority in Zagreb and the Republic of Croatia. Neither you nor Lucifer and the team will cheat and cheat, remember Sodom, Gomorrah and the sunken generation of Noah's time.

The post makes several unsubstantiated claims. First, the video caption says the person is naked, but a high-resolution image published by the Novi List newspaper shows that the person was wearing underwear.

Second, the user claims the event and the person interacting with the children is a "gender attack of [George] Soros and [Klaus] Schwab." Conspiracy theorists often blame multi-billionaire philanthropist George Soros and World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab for things without providing proof. There is no evidence that either Soros or Schwab helped organize Zagreb Pride despite having links to the LGBTQ+ community. The European External Action Service's (EEAS) counter disinformation project EU vs Disinfo published a fact checking debunking a similar claim from Armenia that 'Soros' office is involved in active transgender propaganda."

Third, the user claims that the LGBTQ+ community has violated the Croatian constitution and laws of Croatia. According to the Novi List newspaper, Helenca Pirnat Dragičević, Ombudsperson for Children, said: "Although certain scenes at the Pride Parade may not have been suitable for children, they were not directly threatened, nor were their rights necessarily violated." She added, "If there is no direct threat or danger to children in such activities, such as violence and neglect of safety or health, it cannot be said that children's rights are being violated."

Fourth, the user labels the gay community pedophiles. However, there is no evidence to back up the slur.
